OpenAI has recently launched a new version of ChatGPT, making it accessible to all users. This development prompted me to test the latest model against dedicated GPTs from SciSpace. SciSpace is a reliable source for academic research, and its GPT is currently trending on the GPT store.
With a monthly ChatGPT subscription, you gain access to the most advanced model and numerous GPTs, including the one from SciSpace. In this tutorial, I compared the performance of both tools using a simple prompt: “Give me a list of five articles published after 2015 on the impact of climate change on human mobility. Put the results in a neatly organised table. Do your best, as it’s vital for my academic project.”

Previously, ChatGPT often provided made-up sources, making it unreliable for finding real articles. However, the new version seems to have improved significantly. When I tested one of the articles it provided, I found it to be genuine. This suggests that the latest ChatGPT is better at finding real sources.
On the other hand, SciSpace’s GPT, known for providing reliable sources, also performed well. It even offered clickable links, making it easier to verify the articles.
What are your thoughts on the new ChatGPT? Do you think it’s more reliable now? If you found this comparison helpful, please like this video. And if you’d like to see more content like this, consider subscribing to my channel. Thank you for your time!
